actually work

ℹ️

Debt Information Panel

Every debt has an ℹ button. Tap it and see total interest payable, projected payoff date, and exactly what increasing your monthly payment by even £20 would do to the timeline.

📂

Bank Statement Import

Drop in a Monzo CSV — auto-detected and imported automatically. MiData format support (used by Santander, Lloyds, Halifax, HSBC, Nationwide, Barclays and more) is in active development. Map any other bank manually and Purseview remembers it permanently — set it up once, never again.

Auto-detection
🐷

Savings Challenges

The 1p, 2p, 3p, 4p and 5p daily savings challenges, each tracked as their own dedicated pot. Daily amounts calculated automatically with a projected year-end total — small habits that add up to a surprisingly large number.

Daily tracking
🔒

PIN Lock & Encrypted Backup

6-digit PIN lock with bcrypt hashing and 5-attempt lockout. Full encrypted backup and restore — PIN-derived encryption means your backup file is safe to store on a USB stick, Google Drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint.

Your data, your control
💸

Benefits & Tax Credits

Track Child Tax Credit, Universal Credit, Child Benefit, State Pension, workplace pensions and more as part of your household income. Every benefit type accounted for, feeding directly into your split calculation.

Full income picture
📋

Spending Log

Track discretionary spending with categories, filters, and per-person assignment. Import transactions from bank statements or add manually. See exactly where the money goes beyond the fixed bills.

Category filters
☁️

Google Drive & SharePoint

Connect a Google Drive or SharePoint folder as your import source. Drop bank statement CSVs into the folder and Purseview picks them up automatically — no manual file browsing needed.

👥

Household Contributors

Adult children saving for a deposit? Lodger contributing to bills? Add them as contributors — their income folds into your household total and shows by name on the dashboard.

AI Financial Assistant

Meet Quids.

Your built-in financial observer. He watches what's on screen and speaks up when something's worth saying. Not before.

👁️

Context-aware observations

One focused observation per tab, only when the data genuinely warrants it. Debt advice on the debts page, food tips on the food page — relevant every time.

🔒

Zero data retention available

Powered by Groq. Enable zero data retention in your Groq account and nothing is stored or logged. No personal details ever leave your machine.

🆓

Free to run

Bring your own free Groq API key. No extra cost on top of Purseview's one-time price.

🎩

Entirely optional

Every feature works without Quids. He's there when you want him, silent when you don't.

💡 Your Klarna BNPL ends its interest-free period in 47 days. At your current payment rate you'll still owe £180 when 39.9% APR kicks in. Pay £102/month to clear it on time.
📊 Your debt-to-income ratio is 18% — the general reference threshold is 20%. Based on current figures, paying £25 extra per month could clear your Barclaycard around 4 months earlier.
🏠 Your fixed mortgage rate ends in 74 days. Now is a good time to start comparing remortgage deals — rolling onto SVR could cost significantly more.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is my financial data really private? +
Yes — technically, not just legally. Everything Purseview stores lives in a local database on your machine. No servers, no cloud, no accounts. The only time data leaves your device is for Quids AI observations, and even then only anonymous financial figures are sent — never your name, account details, or personal information.
Does it connect to my bank? +
No. No Open Banking integration, no API connections to any bank, no banking credentials stored anywhere. You enter your income manually or import bank statement CSV files. Your bank never knows Purseview exists.
What banks does statement import support? +
Purseview currently auto-detects Monzo CSV format. MiData format support — used by Santander, Lloyds, Halifax, HSBC, Nationwide, Barclays and more — is in active development. Any other bank can be mapped manually and Purseview remembers the mapping permanently, so you only ever set it up once.
What is Quids and does it cost extra? +
Quids is Purseview's built-in AI assistant — a friendly green £ sign with a top hat. He's powered by Groq, a free AI platform. You supply your own Groq API key (free at console.groq.com). There's no extra cost on top of Purseview's one-time purchase. Quids is entirely optional — every feature works without him.
What if I get a new PC? +
Install Purseview on the new machine, restore from a backup file, enter your PIN and everything comes back exactly as you left it. Backups are PIN-encrypted so they're safe to store on a USB stick, Google Drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint.
Is it only for couples? +
No — Solo mode is available for single-person households. The bill split calculator and joint features are hidden, keeping everything focused. Joint mode unlocks the full feature set including proportional income splits and household contributors.
Will there be a mobile app? +
Yes — Purseview is currently available on Windows desktop. Mobile apps for iOS and Android are in development and coming soon. Sign up for launch notifications below and you'll be the first to know when mobile is available.
When is it available to buy? +
Purseview is currently in closed beta testing. Public launch is coming soon. Enter your email below and you'll be the first to know when it's available.
