Thank you for testing Purseview. Your feedback directly shapes the final product. Please report anything that looks wrong, feels off, or could be better.
Always download the latest version. If you already have a previous beta installed, follow the patch instructions below.
Released 30 May 2026 · Windows 10 / 11 · ~30MB
Released 31 May 2026 · For existing installs only · ~50KB
⚠ Only for testers who already have Purseview installed. Your data will NOT be touched — the installer backs everything up before making any changes.
Follow these steps carefully. First time install and patching an existing version are different — make sure you follow the right set.
Click the Download button above. Save the zip file somewhere you'll remember — your Desktop or Documents folder is fine.
Right-click the zip file → Extract All. Choose a permanent location — C:\Purseview or D:\Purseview works well. Don't run it from inside the zip.
Open the extracted folder and double-click START_HERE.bat. This installs Python and all dependencies automatically. It may take a few minutes the first time.
Once setup completes, your browser will open automatically at http://127.0.0.1:8989. If it doesn't, open your browser and go there manually.
On first run you'll be asked to create a 6-digit PIN and save a recovery code. Keep the recovery code somewhere safe — it's your only way back in if you forget your PIN.
Inside Purseview, go to Settings → Backup and create an encrypted backup. Keep this file safe — it contains all your financial data.
Download the latest zip. Extract it to a new folder — don't overwrite your existing installation yet.
Run START_HERE.bat from the new folder. It will automatically detect your existing installation and preserve your data.
Check your income, outgoings, and debts are all intact. If anything looks wrong, restore from your backup via Settings → Restore.
Every fix and feature since the first beta build.
